That’s why we’ve introduced our ‘family & friends’ discount. So, no matter how much money you have to invest, our fees are kept as low as possible. (It’s also our way of rewarding our clients for referring their family and friends to us.)
Here’s how it works
Because we have a tiered approach to our charges, family members and friends (up to a maximum of four people) can group their investments together to benefit from lower ongoing advice charges.
For example:
Mr Jones has an ISA worth £30,000 and a pension worth £200,000 (so his assets total £230,000). Currently, the ongoing advice charges for Mr Jones are 0.75% of his assets, which is approximately £1,725 per year.
Mr Jones then introduces Mrs Smith, who holds an ISA worth £60,000 and a pension worth
£300,000 (so her total assets are £360,000). Mrs Smith’s ongoing advice charges would normally be 0.65% of her assets, so approximately £2,340 per year.
By grouping their assets together into the ‘family & friends group’, their overall assets equate to £590,000. This would reduce their ongoing advice charges to 0.5% per annum. As a result, Mr Jones’s ongoing charges will reduce from £1725 to £1150 per year, saving him £575 per year.
Mrs Smith’s ongoing charges will reduce from £2,340 to £1800 per year – that’s a saving of £540 per year.
Should they both decide to reinvest the money they save, their investments are likely to grow even faster!
